Awkward, Done Awkwardly.

Just a quick lil' hello to all y'all!

It's my friends birthday today (9/11 - I know, such a tragedy!), and so I dressed thinking I was going to Dolores Park in San Francisco. Cute lil dress, layered with a scarf and knee high boots a must for the windy city by the Bay. But alas, her day wasn't going to well and she cancelled (super bummer!) so there was a quick change of plans - and off we went cruisin' 'round the Haight. Still had a blast and I absolutely love watching the different street styles - from the hippies (duh!), to the prepsters, to the hipsters, to the super jocks, to the tourists, to the goths, to the plain old wtfs, everything flies when you're on the Haight, yo.

This is me gettin a lil cray cray for your viewing pleasure...
I really can't take myself too seriously now can I?

Enjoy and happy Sunday! :)

That 70's Show.

On my Wide Post from a couple of days ago, one of my readers, La Professionnelle, made a reference to Mila Kunis from That 70's Show. And that got me thinking, Ya know what? I'm really a 70's girl at heart, although I like to dable in other genres as well. Here's my ode to that decade:

 a little wrap dress
color blockin
leopard print
butterfly necklace
giant sunglasses
platform sandals

Okay, wait a cotton pickin' minute - is that the 70's or is that now? Oooooh fashion, OOooooh stylin, what goes around comes around, don't it? It's all cyclical, just like life. Either way, I love it!

Let's get this started with a little leg, shall we? :)

I'm Totally Sheerious, Guys.

I've always been a little afraid of wearing sheer for fear of looking like a total slutface
Well, my sweet, non-slutface pals, I just realized that ya just gotta learn how to be strategically sheer!
Think of it this way, it's kinda like the trend of wearing cut out dresses - you only want to expose a little bit of flesh at a time so you don't look like... well you know what.

This blush pink top is sheer all over except for the chesticle area - phew! I love how it's very loose and tentlike - perfect for scarfing down salad, bruschette, carbonara, tiramisu and a lemon bar. *burp*
My fabulous VERY sheer skirt needed a friend to take care of hidin me ladybits - and so black tube top came along parading as a very fitted slip. SCORE! (I'd like to thank the hot Free People ladies for that genius idea.) Extra points for le slut skirt for having an elastic waist - a definite plus for all dining occasions.

And with that, off I went to drink, eat and pray catch up with my lovely college lady friends, all of whom, have very nice bewbies.

Ahhhhhhhh
CHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
