Sway Event.

The Sway store in Berkeley had a lil 90's Fall fashion event
I'm, like, always, like, down to go to a, like, 90's themed party!
A little Saved By The Bell anyone?
Or how about a bitchin dose of Drew Barrymore?
Stellar!

Remember this fun lil topsy turvy 'do in the early 90's. It was the height of cool back then.
Really, it was.
I promise.
Not kidding.

Love this cute teeny tiny blush dress.
The lil ho in me held me hostage until I bought it!

Colorful necklace - nice!

Being that this was held right on Telegraph there were sooooo many many many young ins, from UC Berkeley, I'm sure. Damn, I felt mature despite my youthful looks (ha!). But seriously, these gals were anywhere between 16-22. So I broke out my not so dirty hot pink cardigan to add that youthful glow and they thought I was one of them!
Yes! I totally tricked them.
That made me feel a little better... :)

Three Piece Angle.

I didn't get the best of sleep last night and I promised my baby girl, Daisy, that I'd take her to Lawrence Hall of Science in Berkeley today. Ugh. I felt like poopy head McGee and decided to take the lazy girls route by wearing jeans. And I do not wear jeans often! Nothing wrong with denim - it's just that it's so overdone and there are so many many many many other options out there - why just stick to the basics?  I do love me some jean wearin time once in a while and today I unabashedly pull out the I'm a busy mom, wife, entrepreneur, and lover of life. So there. Ha!

Here's today's choice from a three piece angle:

A Love Letter.

Dear Beautiful Ankle Strappin' Leopard Print Chunky Heels,

Twas a sad day as we could not be together. I know I was such a tease this morning when I
eyed you... touched you... put you on...
only to have taken you off and replace you with *gasp* H&M flats

Oh the shame I feel!

Please believe me when I say I truly tried.
Someday I will overcome these pathetic obstacles that keep us apart -
the walking of the feet... the heat of the day... the rawness of the back of my heels

How I missed thee, my sweet flower!

I am merely but a weak pathetic human but know your heart:
I will build my strength up and we shall be together again one day.

Love,
Marie

Dirty Pink Cardigan.

Okay, so it's not exactly dirty, but as y'all can see, I did sport the hot pinkness yesterday as well. What can I say, I love me my hot pink cardigan and tend to reach for it multiple times throughout the week. So to continue the Oh My Bra! from yesterday, I stuck with the main color scheme of hawt diggity dawg hawt hawt pink, black, and gray. Me likey big time!

I know I didn't actually post any pics of said booby holders, and so to reward you (is it really a reward? why yes indeedy!) for initially having to use your imagination, I start here thee post with a shot of le fabulous brassiere. This is the famous old tit slinger that started this whole two day bender:

Oh My Bra!

I was pacing back and forth in my undies this morning, trying to figure out what in the world should I wear. When all of a sudden, I looked at my reflection and said Eureka! An Oh My Bra inspiration hit me. As much as I'd like to show you what the twins like to cruise around in, I thought better of it, and would rather much verbalize what lead me to today's attire. Think black bra, hot pink straps, white floral lace and a dainty pink ribbon. That's all I needed to get me a pickin' and sortin' through my closet to come up with this fun lil combo. :)

Just remember ladies and gents... inspiration can come from anywhere, even your underwear! So go out and make sure you've got some fine pieces of cloth coverin' up yer goods. It may someday save you.

aaaaaaannnnnddddddd.....

Scarfistication.

My dad's mom, that's grandma in layman's terms,  would be so proud of me for sporting a scarf today.
The lady was obsessed with scarves.

As a little girl, I remember grandma sending my mom an exuberant amount scarf paraphernalia, including but not limited to, scarves (TONS!), scarf VHS tapes, scarf how to books and just plain ol' pictures of scarves.
Yeah. Tell me about it.
My breastless 12 year-old self got into it for a period and was fascinated with the sophisticated sexiness of the large folded triangle scarf that was made into a halter top. Of course, I was never allowed to wear this out, but still...I liked the idea of experimenting and finding new uses for the same item.

I never really got around to incorporating scarves into my everyday attire as an adult but after my grandma passed away she left me several boxed filled with her insanely awesomely crazy costume jewelry and... YES. You guessed it, enough scarves to wear a different one everyday for the rest of my life.

So here I am, wearing one of her fabulous pieces of cloth.
And you know what?
I actually rather enjoy strutting around town in it today.
It honestly gives me instant style and sophistication without having to try too hard.
And we know how much this gal loves fashion and beauty shortcuts! :)

Next time you need to dress up an outfit, reach for a fun lil' scarf for an instant style boost.

Hot Pink Cardigan + Long Blue & White Striped Dress + Rope Sandals

Now that I'm on the path of habitually waxing da armfeets (that'd be pronounced armpit in the English homies),  I gather up all my willpower to not shave between appointments or else my waxing lady will yell at me in Portuguese (she's from Brazil!). And as sexy as it is to be yelled at in a foreign language, she's got full control of the ooozing hot wax that goes on my poor tortured but fuzz free bod.

So, what do you do when you've got a cute spaghetti strap dress you're dying to wear but da feets (short for armfeet) bears resemblance to the lush Amazionan jungle?

Today's Special: Belted Floral Dress + Teal Cardigan

I look out the window and it looks Springy but as soon as I step outside I am met with a gush of icy cold wind. Brrrrrrr! I reeeeeeeally don't wanna have to change out of my soft and billowy dress. I love how I feel in this super feminine floral number and the way it moves with me. Dammnit, I'm going keep this dress on and find a way to make it work! I decide to add a pop of color in the form of one teal cardigan and - Huzzah! - all better. Now off to walk and sway and twirl and swirl and enjoy the world!
